Ferrum Hausmann® Syrup

Ferrum Hausmann® is a new generation oral iron therapy for the treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. With its active control iron absorption mechanism, it demonstrates reduced common gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, constipation, and tooth discoloration that are often associated with traditional iron supplements1–3. To date, no interactions with drug and food have been reported4. Manufactured in Europe, Ferrum Hausmann® is available in more than 80 countries around the globe.

Active Ingredient

5 mL Ferrum Hausmann® syrup contains 50 mg of iron as the active substance in the form of an iron(III) hydroxide polymaltose complex.

Indication

Ferrum Hausmann® syrup is an iron preparation used to treat iron deficiency without anemia and iron deficiency anemia.

Dosage

Ferrum Hausmann® syrup should be taken with or directly after meals. It can be mixed with fruit of vegetable juice or with bottle food.

  • Iron deficiency anemia:
    • Infants aged up to 1 year: 2.5-5 mL daily
    • Children (aged 1-12 years): 5-10 mL daily
    • Adolescents over 12 years and adults: 10-30 mL daily
  • Iron deficiency without anemia:
    • Children (aged 1-12 years): 2.5-5 mL daily
    • Adolescents over 12 years and adults: 5-10 mL daily

 

The exact dosage and duration of treatment is determined by doctor.

Bottle of 150 mL (with measuring cup included).
